Rollout for Rose Gold, Platinum Gear S2 Classic Begins

Heads up, fashion-forward techies: Samsung's new platinum and rose gold smartwatch models, first introduced at CES, are headed your way.

The company has kicked off the "global launch" of the Gear S2 Classic. The high-finish timepiece, which just launched in China, will get in "across the globe early this twelvemonth," Samsung said.

There'due south no official give-and-take on U.South. pricing, but The Verge spotted the gold and platinum models listed for €480 on a European pre-order page, which would put the price at around $520.

That's quite a flake more than the Gear S2's base of operations price of $299, just the Classic models are also plated in 18K rose golden or platinum.
